PLAN B

PLAN B

The Autumn Spending Review on October 20th threatens to deliver the most severe cuts in public spending in our lifetime.

We must be concerned that this will undermine the start of the construction led economic recovery as evidenced in the first two quarters of 2011.

The ‘Get Britain Building’ campaign led by the MMA, British Precast, BMF and FMB has developed a “PLAN B” which aims to clearly articulate the value our great industry adds to UK PLC in terms of economic growth and job creation.

We have been represented at all three of the recent political conferences and have had many meetings with members of parliament to promote this strategy.

Whatever the outcomes of this Wednesday’s announcement, we will continue to fight for our industry.  We seek your help in forwarding this plan to your MPs and councillors in a combined effort to keep our industry at the front of our political leaders’ minds as they seek the best way to regenerate our economy.
